Wimborne Square Meyson Properties

Commerical Case Study

Client – Meyson Properties, Wimborne, Dorset required a new roof installation. In this instance, the roof was converted into a garden area.

Project Description –Β Recently, we were given an excellent opportunity through referral to transform the roof space onΒ the old bank in the centre of Wimborne. The roof has now been converted into a Alwitra single ply warm roof and will now be used as an ultra-modern roof garden space. This conversion has enabled Meyson Properties to make use of a space they couldn’t use before therefore enhancing the property’s usage and value. MC Roofing are happy to report that this project was completed on time and on budget.

Implementation –Β During every project the skilled roofers at MC Roofing follow a set process to complete the job efficiently and to a very high standard:

  1. First, we started by breaking up the existing asphalt flat roof.
  2. We then added new joists and raised the perimeter rafters.
  3. Next, the firing strips were fixed to the joists and a box gutter was formed.
  4. We then added the warm roof using Alwitra singly ply supplied by ICB Poole.
  5. Finally, the tiling and outletsΒ around the perimeter of the roof garden wereΒ installed.

The roof on top of the Meyson Properties building is now a beautiful garden space overlooking Wimborne Square. To learn more about what we could do with your roof, get in contact today!
